India

I spent three months in india from 22 of November to the 15th of febuary. it has been an inspiring journy. I began my trip in Goa in Anjuna. It was a difficult first day getting to know the bus system and finding a place to stay. Then I went to hampi and saw a lot of beutifull ruins and temples. I met some nice people and I travelled with a girl to Bangalore. There I stayed for a week. There was a museum with the visual art collage. It was nice to see how a big city like that is in India. It was quite western, but there were a lot of dirty places. After that I went to pondicherry. There was an ashram of sri ambindo and the mother. It was a peacefull ashram, people went there every day to pray and sit to meditate. Then I went to Auroville where I saw the metromondir a meditation centre founded by the mother. I spent a few nights in the international community and learnt about there life styles. It was interesting to see how the village was put together. I rented a moter bike and drove around. I went mainly to the beach. I went after that to teramulavai to see the ramana ashram. I spent a day there. It was a meditation place. There were a lot of rituals and I could take part in some singing with music.

Then I went to Mallamapuram, there I met a lot of indian locals where I spent christmas and New Year. The city was verry nice on the beach with caves, rocks and sculptures on the walls. The people were verry freindly and I spent alot of my time on the beach. Then I went to a school where I did some volunteer work. It was interesting seeing how a school is run in India. You learn a lot about the culture from the children. The children hardly learn from books but repeat rymes and songs. I tried to teach some English but it was impossible, they were shouting a lot and verry chaotic. Then I went to Chennai a big city with a lot of street stalls and small restaurants. The people there were verry nice and eager to talk to you. I liked the food where you could get traditional tali or dosa and there was a dance festival with some classical Indian dance and music. It was beutifull how the movements were done.

Afterthat I went to Kerala to Amma's ashram, but I couldn't find it and I had just travelled for 20 hours on a bus so I went to Cochin. I stayed in a nice clean room with the beach nearby. It was a fishermans town. The poeple were verry different in kerala more southern and the nature is verry beutifull with backwaters and palm trees. I went afterthat to verkala a cliff town with lots of shops. there were mainly tourists on holliday. the weather was verry cloudy, but warm. I got to see Amma the Guru and got a hug. It was verry inspiring how the Indian people prayed for her and did the pooja. Then I went to Gokarna, to Kudly beach. It is a beutifull beach that is not typically touristic. It is a relaxing place with cheap rooms and good food. This was the end of my travels I go back in two weeks maybe I will end up somewhere else, but for now on Kudly beach.
